2016 Frankfurt Book Fair — Publishing and Marketing Collaboration for Chinese Art and Design Books

The inaugural conference of "The Arts Bridge", a publishing and marketing collaboration for the Chinese art and design books, gathered more than 20 Chinese publishers and institutions and was held at the 2016 Frankfurt Book Fair. Initiated by ACC Publishing Group based in the UK, Images Publishing Group based in Australia, and Guangxi Normal University Press Co., Ltd. based in Shanghai, this is the first appearance of "The Arts Bridge".

Zhang Yibing, secretary of the party committee and president of Guangxi Normal University Press, introduced the history and development of the Group in his address, as well as the background and prospect of establishing "The Art Bridge". With regard to the purpose and original intention of the collaboration, Liu Guanghan, being general manager of Guangxi Normal University Press (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, said in his speech that it is committed to the deepening and implementation of "going global" strategy of China and providing excellent Chinese cultures a better platform for communication and spread.

During the conference, Paul Latham, general manager of Images Publishing Group, James Smith, sales manager of ACC Publishing Group analyzed the distribution situation and design requirements of western market from different angles and shared their experience with all participants.

It is learned that "The Arts Bridge" is a significant action of Guangxi Normal University Press after purchasing ACC Publishing Group. It is determined to be a third-party platform for Chinese arts and designs to go global and it will actively enhance the influence of Chinese culture.
