Xu Weiguo is professor and chair of the School of Architecture at Tsinghua University and cofounder of DADA. He was a visiting scholar at MIT in 2007 and taught at SCI-Arc and USC in the USA. He studied abroad in Japan where he received his PhD from Kyoto University and worked for Murano Mori Architects. A leading figure of digital architecture in China, Xu Weiguo has been at the forefront of rapid developments in the field through teaching, exhibition, engineering projects and publications. To date he has published 17 books and over 140 papers in the field.
